10/28/07 PAWS HOWLIN FUNFEST! We had a nice crowd this year and costume contest entries included 20 dogs, 3 cats, a cockatiel and hermit crabs.... I know your wondering what kind of costumes the bird and crabs came in so I will tell you the cockatiel was a vampire complete with a castle made around his cage our shelled friends were "crabs" of the carribean they brought their heat lamp and had their whole habitat decked out in Pirate theme. We added a pumpkin decorating contest this year where contestants brought their carved or otherwise decorated pumpkins from home to show off their creative abilities! We also had a lot of success with the kids carnival corner! Thanks to all the help of our volunteers that made this happen!

6/16/2007 -PAWS Pet Memorial Picnic in Wadena MN at the Sunnybrook Bark Park. We had about 25 people and their dogs show up for a potluck lunch and fun dog games such as a scavenger hunt, dress-up race, "bobbing for tennis balls", and a four-legged race. We had hoped for a few more people to show up but had a blast all the same. Special thanks to Pastor Dot Bull of Motley Methodist for our "Blessing of the Animals".

Event Committee - We are always in need of volunteers to help plan and work at our events. Please give us a call if you would like to get involved and be a part of this fun and rewarding opportunity.

Make sure to check out our Upcoming Events page to see all the fun things we have planned to help save stray and abandoned pets and promote the human animal bond.
